GoGrowth AI: Terms and Data Processing

These terms apply to every store that installs GoGrowth AI. By installing the app, the merchant agrees to them.

1. The service

GoGrowth AI adds a shopping assistant to the merchant's storefront and a dashboard to the Shopify admin. Paid plans are billed by Shopify on the merchant's Shopify invoice and can be cancelled at any time from the app or by uninstalling it.

2. Data processing

The merchant is the controller of their store's data and of their customers' data. GoGrowth acts as a processor and processes that data only on the merchant's behalf, to provide the app.

• What is processed: the store's products and settings, the guidance the merchant writes, the questions shoppers type into the chat and the replies, which products were added to cart from the chat, and the line items and totals of orders containing those products.
• What is not processed: customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses. The chat is anonymous.
• Purpose: answering shoppers and showing the merchant what shoppers ask and which chats led to sales. Data is never sold, and never used for advertising or to train AI models.
• Sub-processors: cloud hosting and database providers, and an AI model provider that generates answers. Each is bound to process data only to provide the service.
• Security: data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and access is limited to what is needed to run the service.
• Consent: GoGrowth honours the customer privacy choices the merchant and Shopify apply, and stores nothing that identifies a shopper.
• Retention and deletion: data is kept while the app is installed. All of a store's data is deleted when Shopify sends the shop data erasure request, 48 hours after uninstall, or earlier on request.
• Assistance: GoGrowth helps the merchant respond to data requests from their customers and will notify the merchant without undue delay of any security incident affecting their data.

3. Acceptable use

The merchant is responsible for the accuracy of their product information and guidance. Answers are generated by AI from that information and may contain mistakes.
